Channing Dungey was named president, ABC Entertainment, in February 2016. In this role she has oversight of all development, programming, marketing and scheduling operations for ABC Primetime and Late Night.

Ms. Dungey has ushered in a wide variety of programming for the 2016-17 season, including the procedural drama “Conviction,” starring Hayley Atwell (“Marvel’s Agent Carter”), conspiracy thriller “Designated Survivor,” starring Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor Kiefer Sutherland, “Still Star-Crossed,” a period drama from Shondaland, family comedy “Speechless,” starring Minnie Driver, the live action/CGI hybrid comedy “Imaginary Mary,” starring Jenna Elfman, and limited series “When We Rise,” a powerful drama that chronicles the real-life struggles, setbacks and triumphs of a diverse family of LGBT men and women who helped pioneer one of the last legs of the U.S. Civil Rights movement.
